Ridgeline Study Prompts

Psalm 139:1-16; John 17:3; Romans 12:9-13 and Hebrews 10:24-25

Prayer and Preparation
This week we are studying the value of “knowing and being known”. This value starts with God and then rolls out to others. Spend a few minutes praying that the Holy Spirit will help enlighten and teach you to know and understand God better and that you would also grow in your knowledge of others.

Study
Read Psalm 139:1-16. In your own words, summarize God’s knowledge of us? What is the value of being so exhaustively known by God?

John 17:3 is an interesting description of eternal life. Read the verse and write down how “knowing God” is eternal life?

Romans 12:9-13 and Hebrews 10:24-25 speak of how brothers and sisters in Christ should treat each other. In your own words, what do these verses teach us about knowing and being known by each other?

Application
What are some ways you have done well growing in your knowledge of God? What are some ways you sense the Lord’s knowledge of you? And how might you grow in either of these areas in the days ahead?

What are some ways you have done well growing in your knowledge of others in our church? What are some ways you’ve let others really know you? And how might you grow in either of these areas in the days ahead?
