This week we will be introducing our study of the book of Psalms. To prepare our hearts and engage our minds, spend a few minutes praying and asking God to grow you throughout this upcoming series.

Watch it and try to make some notes: What are a couple of things that stand out to you about the video and the book of Psalms? Did it clear up anything you’ve previously wondered about Psalms? Were there some things that were completely new revelations to you?

Application

List some reasons to be looking forward to studying the Psalms. What are you most looking forward to?

How would you evaluate your communion with God right now (the intimacy of your relationship with Him and your sensitivity to His voice)? Do you have ongoing personal interaction with Him? If so, what does that look like?
