Ridgeline Study Prompts

Acts 28:1-10

Prayer and Preparation

As we come to the last chapter of Acts, spend a few minutes reflecting on some of the ways the Lord has challenged your thinking, encouraged you, or maybe even taught you something new. Thank Him for the work He is doing in you, then ask Him to do it again this week as you study the first ten verses of chapter 28.

Study

The events that unfold in verses 1 through 10 are pretty action packed. Write a brief summary.

Looking at what you wrote above, what are the key points and what is the significance of each of these events? How was God using them for His glory and the spread of the gospel?

Application

Paul once again found himself in the midst of hardships. And once again, God gets the glory, and the gospel continues to spread. Remember, God never intends to waste suffering. Even when the enemy intends it for our harm, God is always able to use it for good. What is one hardship you are walking through now, or have recently walked through that God may be intending to use for His glory and your good? What is your part in the process? How can you be like Paul, and position yourself to make much of Jesus in the midst of the struggle?
