Ridgeline Study Prompts

 Acts 22:22-23:11

Prayer and Preparation

Last week’s application portion of the study prompts encouraged you to share your testimony with someone. Before moving on to this week’s study, it’s good to revisit that. If you were able to share a testimony with someone, we as a church family would love to hear how that went. Please plan to tell us briefly about it during our discussion time this Sunday. If you did not, take a minute to pray and ask God to show you an opportunity this week to share your story with someone.

As for this week, spend time praying that God would guide your thoughts as you dive into His Word.

Study

Write out in your own words the situation unfolding in this portion of the story of Acts. What events are happening? Who all is involved?

Verse 11 says that Jesus stood in the presence of Paul and spoke to him. What kind of encouragement would the presence of the Lord, and the words he spoke bring to Paul in that situation?

Application

Have you ever experienced encouragement, in a moment of discouragement, while you were trying to be faithful and obedient to the Lord? How did that encouragement come (God’s word, a song, a message, a friend’s counsel)? And how did it effect your mindset moving forward?
