Ridgeline Study Prompts
1 Peter 3:15
Prayer and Preparation
... no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received... the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.
(1 Corinthians 2:11b-12)
This Scripture tells us that only by the Spirit can we understand God’s thoughts - His revealed will - for us. And it goes on to say we have received the Spirit because God wants and intends for us to understand. So, before you begin this study, thank God for sending His Spirit, and ask Him to help you comprehend His thoughts for you in this passage. And believe that He fully intends to answer your prayer.
Read this week’s passage – 1 Peter 3:15 – several times, slowly. Pause and reflect on individual words and phrases.

... yet do it with gentleness and respect, ...
