Ridgeline Study Prompts

 Acts 21:27-22:21

Prayer and Preparation

Before studying this week’s passage, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to lead you where He would have you go; first in study, then in living it out. In doing so, you are practicing the wisdom found in Proverbs 3:6 - “In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” God wants to engage with us as his sons and daughters. We don’t study the Bible to learn interesting theological tidbits, or even to memorize profound truths. We read the bible to abide with our heavenly Father and to hear from Him – to receive guidance and wisdom.

Study

In what ways was Paul misunderstood or misrepresented in this text?

When attacked and accused, Paul shared his testimony. In a few sentences, summarize his story.

Application

Our testimony, the story of our salvation, is a powerful and appropriate defense in our day and time, just as it was in Paul’s day. It not only can be used by God to bring others to faith, but it also solidifies our own faith and reinforces our resolve. Write out the key points of your story. Think of it in three parts: 1) What life was like before Christ, 2) How you met Christ and came to faith, 3) What life has been like since you met Christ. After completing this exercise, prayerfully consider sharing your story with someone.
