Genesis 14

Prayer and Preparation
In the spirit of giving thanks, take a few minutes today to give thanks to the Lord for all that He’s done, before jumping into the text. Think of all the different ways God deserves our gratitude, and maybe write a few down as an act of worship. Then carefully read Genesis 14.

Write out a brief summary of this chapter. Who are the main characters and what’s going on?

How does this story move the narrative of Genesis along?

How does this chapter tie into other parts of the Bible? (i.e. Abraham’s future, bread and wine, royal priests, Salem) Read Hebrews 7 for additional perspective.
