Genesis 3 is a critical passage within the Christian faith. There are so many theological and doctrinal truths that find their foundation in this chapter of Genesis. So, before you dive into the text, spend a few minutes preparing your heart and mind through prayer. Then mindfully and carefully read Genesis 3.

What elements of the text stands out to you in this reading? What gets your attention, seems odd or interesting, or what portions of the text cause you to dig further into the story?

Summarize the interaction between the serpent and Eve?

Nakedness is a reoccurring theme starting at the end of chapter 2, all the way through chapter 3. What is the significance of nakedness in this story?

What do you notice about the curses and punishment God declares, and what significance do they have to the larger story of the Bible?
