Prayer and Preparation
In our small group this week, the world “cherish” was used to describe a good way to approach the reading and studying of Scripture. This week as you begin your study, spend some time in prayer asking the Holy Spirit for a mind and heart that would cherish what you read and study.

Study

To better understand the conversation Jesus had in Mark 10:41-45, you need to know the context found in Mark 10:35-40. What was the conversation about in these verses?

 
As Jesus asked the disciples to consider the way Gentiles rule, how did He describe the leaders’ attitude and behavior? 

How was the model Jesus gave them different?

Application
If Jesus modeled service, and we are called to serve, how do we begin doing that where the Lord currently has us? How can you serve others this Christmas season…and beyond?
