Psalm 95

Prayer and Preparation

Psalm 95 is a blueprint for worship and interaction with God. Take a minute to prepare your heart and mind to engage with God’s Word. Are you prepared to worship God through study and enter into this sacred time? If so, prayer is an appropriate step. If not, prayer is a necessary step.

Study

Verses 1-5 are a call to worship. Based on these verses, what is an appropriate way to respond in worship?

In verse 6 and the first sentence in verse 7 we see another response of the worshiper. What is the response in these verses? And why do you think both this response and the previous response are both fitting ways to respond to God’s revelation?

The tone of the psalm shifts at the end of verse 7 through verse 11. What seems to be the instruction found in these verses?
