Our Core Values
These six values shape the DNA of our church and define our faith community.
Christ-Centeredness
All that Ridgeline has done and will do is from Him, through Him and to Him. He's the means of our salvation, the object of our worship, the example we aspire to.
(Romans 11:36, John 14:6, Philippians 2:1,9-11)
The Bible
The Bible is the authoritative Word that determines and shapes the content of our messages, worship through song, conversations, discipleship and counseling. The Bible has the power to transform hearts and minds as it convicts, encourages, educates, guides and informs. It is the window in which we gain glimpses into the mind of God and gain knowledge of Christ, as well as the salvation that is available through Him.
(2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Psalm 19:7-11, Romans 12:2)
Being Known
Made in the image of a Triune God, who has eternally existed in relationship with Himself, we were designed for community and relationship. We are meant to be known by God and each other. "Being known" requires and maintains accountability, honesty and sanctification. For the Gospel to be applied within the context of the church, the people of the church must be known.
(Psalm 139:1-16, 2 Timothy 2:19, Romans 12:9-13, Hebrews 10:24,25)
Service Within the Body
God has given each believer specific gifts that are designed to serve the common good of the church. As each member of the body uses their gifts, the church functions in a healthier manner. The church is the laboratory where believers have a safe place to practice the "one-anothers" of the faith. And as we serve each other, the world will see that we are Christ's.
(1 Peter 4:10, 1 Corinthians 12:7, Romans 12:4-8)
Missions and Evangelism
The church's focus and efforts can't be limited to life inside the church. Believer's eyes must be lifted up and out. The Gospel demands we share it, first in our immediate context (where God has placed us) and continuing out into the corners of the earth.
(Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, Acts 13:47, Romans 10:13-14, Revelation 14:6)
Prayer
The Church is to be a praying people. The work that Ridgeline Church is pursuing requires God's presence, power and blessing. Prayer is the supernatural engine for the life of our church.
(1 John 5:14, James 5:16, Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6)
